Interarch Building Products Invests Over Rs 950 Million in New Manufacturing Plant

Introduction
Interarch Building Products, a prominent player in the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) sector, has announced the inauguration of its fifth PEB manufacturing facility, located in Attivaram Village, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. This marks the company’s fourth fully integrated unit. The plant is equipped with advanced technology for manufacturing pre-engineered steel structures, metal roofing, and cladding systems. The new facility is expected to play a significant role in driving industrial growth in the region.

Phase 1 Overview
Phase 1 of the plant spans four acres and was established with an investment of Rs 400 million, which includes the cost of the land. This investment has been financed through internal accruals. The new plant will boost Interarch’s production capacity by 20,000 metric tonnes (MT) annually. Additionally, the unit has generated employment for approximately 250 individuals, further stimulating the local economy.

Phase 2 Expansion Plans
Interarch also conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase 2 of the project. This phase will cover six acres and is projected to increase the company’s total production capacity by 40,000 MT, bringing the overall capacity to 2 lakh MT annually. The facility for Phase 2 will occupy 2 lakh square feet and is expected to be completed within the next 7-8 months. The estimated cost for Phase 2 is Rs 570 million, which will be funded through IPO proceeds. This expansion is expected to create an additional 500 direct and indirect jobs.
