Himachal Pradesh has received a significant funding of ₹293.36 crore from the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for essential road development projects for the financial year 2024-25. According to Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh, the funds will be allocated to five major road and bridge projects aimed at enhancing connectivity across districts such as Shimla, Hamirpur, Kangra, and Mandi.

Minister Singh emphasized that these projects are the outcome of continued efforts by the PWD and proactive discussions with the central government to address the infrastructure needs of the state. Key Projects and Allocations
- Tikkar-Jarol-Gahan-Nanakhari-Khamadi Road (Shimla)
A total of ₹54.87 crore has been allocated for the upgradation of this 52 km road, which is expected to significantly improve road conditions in the Shimla region. - Sujanpur Tihra-Sandhol Road (Hamirpur)
₹41.10 crore will be invested in upgrading this 20 km stretch, further enhancing travel within the Hamirpur district. - Navgaon-Beri Road (Hamirpur)
With a budget of ₹79.25 crore, the 37 km Navgaon-Beri road will be upgraded, improving regional connectivity. - High-Level Bridge over Gaj Khad (Kangra)
₹86.34 crore has been earmarked for the construction of an 828-meter high-level bridge, which will significantly ease transportation challenges in Kangra. - Bakhrot-Karsog-Sanarli-Sainj Road (Mandi)
The upgradation of this 9.6 km road will be undertaken with ₹31.80 crore, boosting road quality in Mandi.
